Such a great list! Been looking to make a list like this for myself, but now I have yours! Definitely looking forward to trying Doggust (don't draw a lot of animals so I think this is going to be tough!), Folktale Week and Mermay (also not something I draw).
I made a post recently about the various challenges I participated in last year. I did Bloomtober with Peggy Dean in October, and Huevember. I liked both a lot. I also did Jutta Schneider's 30 Days of Drawing in this January.
I've been saving challenges I find on Instagram. There were a lot last year around the holidays, various Christmas/holiday themed challenge from Skillshare teachers and artists I follow.
I’m glad it’s useful. I had so many on my mind and needed a place to organise them… I didn’t get round to folktale week yet but would love to do it. Bloomtober sounds great too!
Another couple to add in that I’ve been recommended… for September… #endlessendpapers run by @mosokje, a week long challenge creating book end papers and for October… Peachtober run by @furrylittlepeach / @peachtober
I'm glad it's helpful Anjana! I love the look of our planet week in April and folktale week in November. I think I'll keep an eye on the more general regular challenges too like letters with Shannon as I need some lettering practice! Do any of them stand out for you?
Maybe this time I’ll finally do inktober haha - I’ve tried so many times in the past but never stuck through. I also like the folktale week - such a cool one.
Colour Collective is a fun one that runs weekly all year. You get a colour prompt and use it however you like. It was started by Penny Neville Lee on Twitter. It’s now on instagram @clr_collective #colour_collective
Birbfest in January is another good one! And in October lots of artists host their own prompt lists for Inktober so it’s always worthwhile to check your fave artists and see if they’re hosting anything! They’re usually shorter than the official list and easier to keep up with. Same goes for Mermay!

Great tips Jenni! Which has been your favourite challenge you've participated in?
Inktober! And any of its variations! I’m a sucker for spooky season 👻
ooo, yess, I'm looking forward to seeing all the illustrations at that time of year - not long now!
